The focus of Watermoon Arts in 2010 is to bring AMELIA’S FLIGHT - GLOBAL CONNECTIONS to colleges across the country. The performance mixes sounds along the equator with the contemporary saxophone sound of Patricia Burgess. It connects with several hot topics on campus and may be followed by a discussion on:
- Diversity; Arts Along the Equator
- A Global Look at Ecological and Economic Change Over Time
- Women Studies; Amelia’s Accomplishments and Adventures
In order to do that we need to raise $2,000 for a convention in Minneapolis this Spring.
Watermoon refers to the mere reflection of the moon on water and WATERMOON ARTS creates this sense experience via inter-media.
WATERMOON ARTS uses words, music, dance, video, and interactive arts to give voice and celebrate the colorful threads of life.
Our mission is to present works that take you on a journey, revealing forces that unite humanity. Similar to a luminous reflection that a moon makes on a watery surface, cultural and artistic brilliance radiate the human mind.
